## What FixFirst is

FixFirst is the operating system for EU Right-to-Repair (R2R) compliance. The EU Right-to-Repair
Directive (Directive (EU) 2024/1799) has been in force since 31 July 2026 and requires manufacturers
to repair products on request, provide spare parts at reasonable prices, and stop practices that
block independent repair. FixFirst gives every affected organisation — manufacturers and brands,
retailers, repairers and repair cafés, cities, EPR schemes, insurers and consumer watchdogs — the
tools to comply, prove compliance, and run repair operations efficiently.

## Core concepts

- Self-declaration: a free, public, non-binding letter of intent that an organisation publishes to
  signal its R2R commitment. Available at /self-declaration.
- ERIF (European Repair Information Form): the standardised pre-repair information form introduced
  by the Directive. FixFirst provides an ERIF builder and form workflows. Once issued to a consumer,
  an ERIF offer is binding for 30 days under German implementing law (Art. 245 EGBGB).
- Qualified Repairer Passport: free verification and a public passport for repairers and repair
  networks, at /for/repairers.
- Audit-ready evidence: every repair decision, offer and outcome is logged so organisations can
  prove compliance to market-surveillance authorities.

## The R2RC platform

The paid platform (/r2rc) adds 20+ modules on top of the free tools: compliance workflows,
repairer network management, partner hub, network intelligence maps, spare-parts supplier
integrations, violation inbox, impact reporting, team management, and audit exports.

Pricing (/pricing): tiered plans based on partner/network size for manufacturers, retailers,
insurers, repair platforms and networks. Repairers, repair cafés, cities, EPR schemes and
watchdogs can always sign up free. Enterprise plans include a personal onboarding appointment.

## Country guidance

FixFirst tracks national implementation of the Directive. Notably, Germany's implementing law
(RepRLAnpG, BGBl. 2026 I Nr. 212) entered into force in July 2026: sellers must inform consumers
before repair about their right to choose and about a one-time 12-month extension of the limitation
period after repair (§§ 475(4), 475e(5) BGB); manufacturers must repair on request, price spare
parts non-deterrently, publish indicative repair prices (Richtpreise) on a website (§ 479d BGB) and
must not use hardware/software techniques that obstruct independent repair (§ 479e BGB). The rules
apply to contracts concluded on or after 31 July 2026.
